Nevalor Library: A Home for Readers
Feature Article | Literature & Fiction
“ Nevalor Library brings books, reading progress, saved titles and comfortable online reading together in one simple digital service, a quiet place for readers to begin a book, leave it, and return to it exactly where they stopped. ”
For readers, finding a good book is only the beginning. The pleasure of reading also depends on having a comfortable place to return to a book, keep track of what you are reading, and discover something new when you are ready for it. With this in mind, Nevalor Publishers has created the Nevalor Library as a reading service for those who love books.
The Library brings together books published by Nevalor Publishers alongside selected public-domain works. It is designed to make reading straightforward, personal and convenient, whether you are browsing for a new book or returning to one you have already started.
Browse the Library
The Library provides a simple catalogue where readers can explore available titles by collection and type. Books can be searched by title or author, while filters and sorting options make it easier to find a particular work.
The Library also presents its collections in a clear, organised format, and other sections may be added as it grows.
One of the most useful features of the Nevalor Library is Continue Reading. When you begin reading a book, the Library keeps your reading progress in your browser. When you return later, you can find the book in your reading list and continue from where you left off.
The reading list shows the book title, author, current section and reading progress. A Resume option takes you back into the book, while a Remove option allows you to clear a title from the Continue Reading list.
This makes the Library particularly useful for longer books that may be read over several sessions.
My Library
My Library provides a personal space for the books a reader has saved and the books they are currently reading. It brings these two activities together in one place, making it easier to return to favourite titles as well as unfinished books.
Readers can reach My Library from the Library homepage, the browsing area and the reading interface. This means that a reader does not have to leave a book or search through the catalogue simply to reach their personal collection.
A Reader Designed for Comfortable Reading
The reading interface is designed to keep attention on the text while still giving readers useful controls. Chapters can be selected from a chapter menu, and the text size can be adjusted with the A− and A+ controls.
Readers can also choose between left-aligned and justified text. The choice is remembered, so readers can use the presentation that suits them best when they return to the Library.
Justified reading also supports automatic hyphenation, helping longer lines of text remain comfortable to read. The reader’s controls are available from the persistent navigation area, so useful settings remain within easy reach during a long reading session.
Easy Navigation While Reading
The reading interface includes a persistent navigation bar that gives readers quick access to the Library and My Library. The reading controls are also available there, including the chapter selector, text-size controls and text-alignment options.
This is especially useful when reading a long chapter. There is no need to return to the beginning of the page simply to change a setting or move to another part of the Library.
Built for Readers
The Nevalor Library is intended to be more than a catalogue of books. It is a convenient reading service that brings discovery, personal collections and online reading together in one place.
For someone looking for a classic work, a Nevalor publication, or simply the next book to read, the Library provides a straightforward starting point. For readers who are already immersed in a book, features such as Continue Reading, My Library, saved books, chapter selection and reading preferences make it easier to return whenever time allows.
Nevalor Publishers will continue to develop the Library as part of its commitment to making books more accessible to readers and creating a useful digital home for literature.
